Essential ways to help protect the Earth: Stop buying newspapers and all other
mass-produced paper products. Read the news online, and save
the forests. Avoid privately owned cars. Use public
transit, ride your bike, and rent a car only when necessary. Buy locally. Everything not produced
locally costs the earth an immense amount of energy to
transport. Consider the weight of a single bottle of wine,
for example. Multiply this by millions and you'll realize
the importance of consuming only products produced nearby. Purchase organic food and clothing when
possible. Get outside, and camp, communion, or live
with Nature for a while. It is only by becoming one with
Nature that we truly cherish Her profound, beautiful, and
divine existence.
